Everyone has his or her ultimate dream life. What is stopping you from living it? Right now, what are you doing that is edging you closer?
There are a few things that will help you get there. Here are my favourites that I practice myself:
Goal setting – If you don’t set any goals and physically write them down, you have nothing to reach for. You need a purpose! Why do you want what you want? Creating purpose brings the goal into focus. Write it down or create a vision board so that you are visually being reminded of the things you want. Tangible or not.
Manifestation – Thinking about what you want and putting it into a tense that you already have it, is magical. Try it for two weeks, that’s it. You can do this with yourself or, find a friend and talk to them about the things you desire as if you already have them. Make sure it’s a really close friend that won’t think you are absolutely nuts! Ex. “I’m sooooo happy I got that job promotion, my new job is my dream job and I’m making double the income I used to!” Sounds crazy. It works.
Gratitude – This one is my favourite. When you are grateful for what you have and stop reaching for more, somehow, more comes into your life. There is a term called ‘Hungry Ghost’ and I have to admit, I catch myself dancing with this character often. This is when you think “I’ll be happy when I’m 10 lbs skinnier” then you lose the 10 lbs and you think “10 more lbs and I’ll really be happy” or “I’ll be happy when I get that brand new Mercedes” then you get that brand-spanking-new Mercedes and begin thinking “My Mercedes is great but I’ll be happy when I have my brand new Lamborghini”. This is a spiral that never ends and in the end you missed out on 1,000,000,000,000,000 times to be happy. Every morning write down three things you are grateful for, big or small. Your warm coffee, your perfectly functioning legs that walked you to work, your pet that brings you so much joy, the fact that you woke up and you’re breathing, your family, your warm bed… I promise, you’ll be able to think of more than three!
Your limiting thoughts are the only thing coming between you and the life you want to live <3
